Poll: What Can Be Done To Reduce Drunk Driving In Cheyenne?
A recent study identified Cheyenne as the drunk driving capital of the United States.
The study found that over 5.6 percent of drivers in Cheyenne has been arrested at least once for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). That number is 277% above the national average, and over a full percentage point ahead of the second place city in the survey.
What can be done to address the city's high DUI rate?
Is the answer tougher penalties for drunk driving? Does law enforcement need to focus more on preventing drunk driving? Or maybe you think the answer is in better-educating people about the dangers of drinking and driving.
Then again, maybe the whole thing is just a statistical anomaly, and the problem isn't really that bad.
What do you think?
