Plans Announced For Sale Of Bank With Branches In Cheyenne, Burns

A South Dakota bank has announced what it says is a "definitive agreement" to buy Wyoming Bank and Trust, according to a news release.

First National Bank of Fort Pierre, South Dakota, says the purchase still needs to be approved by regulatory agencies. But the release says First National expects to close the deal in the third quarter of 2025.

The South Dakota bank currently has 16 locations in South Dakota and Colorado. Assuming the deal goes through, Wyoming Bank and Trust will be known as First Wyoming Bank & Trust Branch of First National Bank.
