New Cheyenne Business Opens In Former Church’s Chicken Location

After being vacant for several years, the building that used to house Church's Chicken at 2815 Ridge Road is home to a new business.

Owens Hot Chicken opened recently, and is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. according to the business website.

The website describes Owens this way: "At Owens Hot Chicken, we bring the bold flavors of Nashville-style hot chicken right here to Cheyenne. Located at 2815 Ridge Road, our menu is crafted to satisfy every craving — from crispy chicken tenders and sliders to golden fries and refreshing handcrafted drinks. We pride ourselves on using quality ingredients, our signature house sauce, and serving every guest with warmth and care."

Owens does not appear to be part of a restaurant chain. A google search turned up no other restaurants by that name other than the one in Cheyenne. A business filing with the Wyoming Secretary of State's office listed the registered agent as a Cheyenne resident, Yuesong Wang. And the principal office is listed as  2815 Ridge Road, the same address as the restaurant itself.

The Church's Chicken restaurant that had been located there closed in the early part of this decade, and the building has sat vacant ever since.
