Rocky Mountain Power now estimates power will be restored by 3 p.m. Saturday.

The loss of a substation left some 7,640 Rocky Mountain Power customers without power Saturday morning in Laramie.

First reported at 7:35 a.m., the outage was estimated to be resolved by 10:30 a.m., according to the company. Repair crews had been notified as of 9:31 a.m.

On its Facebook page, the Laramie Police Department announced that it is aware of the outage and reminded drivers how to handle intersections that were without a functioning traffic signal.

Any intersection where the traffic lights are out should be treated as a four-way stop.
