So far there is no medically-recognized COVID-19 vaccine available to Americans.

But numerous companies are working on such a vaccine, and researchers around the world are said to be working on developing an effective way to protect people from the coronavirus. But there are those who have expressed skepticism, fearing that such a vaccine is likely to be ineffective at best and dangerous at worst.
