Wyoming state law requires a new state license plate to be issued every eight years.

All plates are required to include the Wyoming Bucking Horse and Rider

Specialized Plates Will Be Available

In keeping with that, state residents will be required to display a new plate in 2025. In addition to the standard design, Wyoming residents will be able to choose from a number of specialized plates that are variations on the new design. Thiose who currently have specialized plates will get a postcard from WYDOT sometime next year with instructions on getting the new version of the specialized plates.

Some specialty plates do require an extra fee.

According to the Converse County Clerk's Office, the new plates feature the same colors as the Wyoming flag. WYDOT designed the new plates, with input from a committee.

People will get the new plated when registering their vehicles. Everyone will be required to get the new plates, and there will be no addition charge for them. But if you are really in a hurry to get the new plates, you can do so by paying extra and getting your vehicle registered ahead of the normal renewal date for your car.

So what to do you think of the new license plates? Take our poll and give us your opinion!
