The Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets share Ball Arena and they both have had tremendous seasons playing to very little fans but now, right in the midst of both team's playoff runs, Ball Arena is about to be rocking in a BIG way with this recent announcement.

According to the Denver Nuggets, Ball Arena will increase its allowed capacity to 18,300 which is about 90% of its full capacity. The Nuggets are coming off of a THRILLING DOUBLE OT win against Portland to take a 3-2 lead in their best of 7 series. Game 7, if necessary would be at Ball Arena this weekend.

The Denver Department of Public Health and Environment granted Ball Arena approval to move forward at 100% capacity, however, the arena will not be at full capacity because of current NBA and NHL rules.

As for the Avalanche, Ball Arena's capacity will be upped to 17,400 for their playoff games. The Avs, coming off of a thrilling overtime win against the Las Vegas Golden Knights are off to Vegas for the next two games before returning home for Game 5.
