Wyoming is getting an upgrade on their current temporary vehicle tags, Wyoming Department of Transportation wants to make them more secure and to prevent fraud.

The current green tags will be replaced by a non-destructible white tag that will have a hologram sticker.  As of right now, there are only two dealerships in Cheyenne that have made the switch, as reported by KGWN.

August 31st, is the last day WYDOT's Motor Vehicle Service's program will issue the green tags.  Dealers will have until the end of the year to use what they have left of the green tags.  The tags are good for 60 days and will be allowed on vehicles until February of 2019.
