A 46-year-old Wyoming man is dead after rolling his SUV south of Devils Tower Sunday night.

It happened near mile marker 1.5 on Wyoming 24 around 9 p.m.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Darin Barekman, of Gillette, was headed south when he failed to negotiate a slight right-hand curve and rolled his SUV.

Barekman, who was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown from the SUV and died from his injuries.

The patrol says the road was wet at the time of the crash.

Driver impairment is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
