A wanted Utah man is facing a slew of charges after he was caught speeding south of Cheyenne.

According to arrest records, 35-year-old Salt Lake City resident Rudy Cuellar was pulled over near the Port of Entry on Interstate 25 at about 6:12 p.m. on Friday, June 2, after a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper clocked him doing 93 mph in a 75-mph zone.

It was determined that Cueller had an active arrest warrant out of Laramie County for failure to pay on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance in plant form.

The warrant was entered and signed on July 20, 2016, by Circuit Court Judge Denise Nau.

While the warrant was being confirmed, another trooper reportedly observed an open container of alcohol in the front passenger area of Cueller's Ford Expedition.

When the trooper searched the SUV, he found a suspected felony amount of suspected cocaine, a scale, and small bags for individual sales.

A loaded handgun was also located in the SUV.

Cueller was subsequently arrested on the warrant and charged with three felonies -- possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance - third or subsequent offense, and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

He was also charged with speeding and open container, both misdemeanors.

Cueller's bond was set at $5,000 cash in both cases and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Wednesday, June 14, at 3 p.m.
