Man Facing 15 Years for Bomb Threat at Cheyenne Bank
A 40-year-old transient could face up to 15 years in prison after allegedly breaking into a Cheyenne bank and making a bomb threat.
Andrew Wojciechowski was arrested on Monday and made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday.
According to court documents, a passerby saw Wojciechowski throw a brick through the front security door at the Wells Fargo Bank at 3600 E. Pershing Boulevard around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
As deputies tried to enter the bank to arrest Wojciechowski, he reportedly sprayed two fire extinguishers at them and told them he had a bomb in the backpack he was wearing.
It was later revealed that Wojciechowski didn't have any explosives on him.
Wojciechowski has been charged with felony property destruction and intimidation by explosive device.
Wojciechowski is being held in the Laramie County Jail on $5,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 26.
