Mr. Alfred P. Redman Sr was a legendary Wyoming High School basketball coach at Wyoming Indian High School. To honor him the school named the gym after him, according to County 10.

Wyoming Indian High School is in Ethete, Wyoming. Coach Redman changed the landscape of Wyoming high school basketball in the '80s. He was the first coach to introduce the full-court press on defense and fast break offense. Which led him to six state titles and a streak of 50 wins in a row between 1983-1986. In his 26 years of coaching at WIHS, his record was 426-118.

During his reign of coaching, the school was able to build, at the time, the largest high school gymnasium in the state, right behind UW's Arena-Auditorium and the Casper Events Center.
