Active Minds, a group at Laramie County Community College which works to raise awareness of mental health issues, is planning a 'mud run' for April 21 on a dirt road on the LCCC campus, according to spokeswoman Beth Morales. She says the event will be both fun and informational, combining the run with presentations from local mental health experts on suicide prevention, among other topics. She says Peak Wellness and Youth Alternatives are among the groups planning to take part. Morales says people can register for the run either as individuals or teams of five people, with a registration fee of $15 dollars for solo entrants of $50 for a team. She says people can get more information or pre-register by calling 778-1236.
