Laramie Logs Warmest October On Record, Cheyenne Second Warmest
Last month was unusually warm and dry for October in southeast Wyoming, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.
The agency says that Laramie recorded it's warmest October on record, while both Cheyenne and Rawlins had their second warmest. Laramie was almost 10 degrees above it's average daily temperature at 9.6 degrees above average and Cheyenne was 6.7 degrees above it's usual daily temp.
Laramie its latest first freeze on record, and Cheyenne had the second latest.
It was also dry, with Cheyenne being .88 inches below normal precipitation. Laramie was .60 below normal for the month. Laramie had its latest first freeze on record, and Cheyenne had the second latest.
And after a somewhat chilly weekend that feature rain and snow showers, it looks like southeast Wyoming can expect mostly unseasonably warm weather over the next week or so.
