The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is gearing up for National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

This year's events will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"You’ll meet people that live in your area and the men and women that serve our community," the Sheriff's Office in a Facebook post late Tuesday morning said.

The Sheriff's Office says each venue will have food and fun activities, and there will be fire trucks and Sheriff's vehicles at the events.

"These events are designed to bring neighbors, businesses, and law enforcement together in partnership against crime in Laramie County," the post reads.

Interested in Hosting an Event?

Those interested in hosting an event are encouraged to call Public Information Officer Brandon Warner at 307-633-4751.

The Sheriff's Office says additional event details will be released as they become available.

This year marks the 42nd Annual National Night Out, and the third year the Sheriff's Office will be participating in the celebration.
