Laramie County Sheriff’s Office Takes Coronavirus Precautions
The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is canceling all visits to the jail and having victims of some crimes call in reports on certain crimes rather than filing them in person as precautions against the coronavirus.
The changes will take effect on Wednesday, March 18, and were announced in a Tuesday news release. Among other things, people who are victims of Littering, Identity Theft, Lost Property, Noise Complaints, Scams, Suspicious Activity, and traffic complaints are being asked to call 307-633-4805 to speak to a deputy.
All visits to the Laramie County Detention Center as well as special programs in the center are cancelled.
The Records Division stop fingerprinting for job applications and Concealed Weapons Permits until at least the end of the month. People who need to renew Concealed Weapons Permits may do so if they aren't sick.
Likewise, the Records Division will remain open for VIN checks, but anyone who seems sick will be asked to leave. Other changes too numerous to list here can be found at the Laramie County and Laramie County Sheriffs Office Websites.
