The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is continuing it's investigation of a Saturday afternoon shooting incident in which one person was wounded.

The agency posted the following on it's Facebook page;

"We will provide an update on Monday. Our Criminal Investigations Division is working through the weekend to record the facts."

The incident happened at 4:28 p.m. on Saturday at milepost marker 2 on U.S. Highway 85. After the incident, the sheriff's office posted on Facebook that Bear Larkman was being sought as a "person of interest" and asked the public for information on Larkman. But Larkman turned himself in after being contacted via cellphone, according to Undersherriff Chance Walkama.

Walkama told Townsquare Media on Saturday evening that the shooting apparently grew out of a road rage confrontation.

The person who was wounded in the confrontation has not been publicly identified, but the Sheriff's Office on Saturday evening said he was in stable condition.

Larkman's defenders on social media are claiming that Larkman was acting in self-defense.
