The Laramie County Sheriff’s Department has arrested one suspect in the Thursday night stabbing and robbery of a 19 year old Cheyenne man.

Spokesman Gerry Luce says 19 year old Andrew Silicani, who recently moved to Cheyenne from California, was arrested Saturday morning.  Silicani is accused of the stabbing and robbery of Colton McKinnis, 19 and of Cheyenne, last Thursday night in the 300 block of West College around 10 pm.  McKinnis was treated at Cheyenne Regional Medical and has been released.

The arrest was made after detectives found a cell phone left at the scene and were able to trace it back to the suspect. Luce says the Sheriff’s Department is continuing the investigation and has identified four other individuals suspected of having been involved in the incident and/or were in the suspect vehicle.  Some of the victim’s property has been recovered, as well as a knife suspected of being the one used in the stabbing.

The knife is being turned over to the State Crime Lab for analysis. Silicani is being charged with felony aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.  Investigators are working with the District Attorney’s Office determine if additional charges may be added.
