A recent sex offender sweep in Laramie County to make sure offenders comply with legal requirements turned up ten violations leading to six arrests, according to a spokesman for the Laramie County Sheriff's Office.

Several Different Agencies Helped With The Sweep

Brandon Warner says the US Marshals, Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations, and State and Federal Probation joined the sheriff's office in conducting Operation Jessica.

The sweep was to make sure that offenders were registering as required.

Warner says 224 compliance checks were conducted. Ten offenders were found to be out of compliance for failure to register, including the half-dozen who were arrested.
