A new day is coming to Laramie County Community College as the institute has announced that they have a brand new Athletic Director on board in Cheyenne South High School's Mark Puev. It looks like the hire for LCCC is a clear home run as Puev has a very impressive resume as an Athletic Director and has a history of teaching other Athletic Directors around the state of Wyoming.

According to Laramie County Community College's Facebook announcement about the hiring, Puev will take over the role from the current interim Athletic Director later this Spring. Interim Athletic Director Dr. Cindy Henning has held the interim role for three years, according to LCCC's Athletic Department page. She's spent the past 11 years at LCCC in the athletic department.

This is the first big change in the Laramie County Community College Athletic Department since last year's appointment of Men's Basketball Head Coach, DeWayne Saulsberry after being elevated from having the Interim Head Coach title. Saulsberry improved LCCC's record to 17-12 as Head Coach from 11-12 as Interim Head Coach.

It's looking like everything is turning up aces for LCCC's athletic department. It's great to watch from a community perspective as they begin to build toward success. Let's all push our good vibes to the new Athletic Director, Mark Peuv, and see how far he can reach with both hands on the reins of the athletic department. Peuv has done a great job at the high school level and has a great resume and the right mindset. Let's see what he can do.
