Laramie City Council To Consider Appointment Of Interim City Manager
The Laramie City Council is scheduled to consider appointing Todd Feezer as interim City Manager at its regular meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Laramie City Council Chambers.
Current City Manager Janine Jordan will be leaving Laramie in December to take the position of City Manager in Casper, where she grew up, according to a city news release from earlier this month.
The agenda item tonight says Feezer, who is currently the Assistant City Manager, will take over for Jordan on an interim basis starting on December 16. The interim appointment will be for "up to six months."
Also on the council agenda tonight is a "Temporary Moratorium for up to 90 days" on issuing or accepting new General Contractor licensing and addressing appeals and declaring an emergency. According to the agenda item the issue arose because Recently the City of Laramie received an application for a general contractor license that exposed a loophole within the general contractor licensing requirements. This loophole essentially allows simple years of experience to count towards any licensing class and does not take into account that experience related to the licensing class is essential to the ability of the contractor to perform the necessary work in a safe way.
The council is also slated to consider amending the future land use map of the 2007 Laramie Comprehensive Plan.
