Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen has nominated Rob Geringer to be the new City Engineer.

Kaysen says Geringer has a wide range of work experiences, including serving as Director of Land Development for IGC Management and Geographic Information System Manager for CBM Associates. Geringer holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming, and a Masters of Engineering in Geographical Information Systems from the University of Colorado-Denver.

Geringer is the son of former Wyoming Governor Jim Geringer. The city council is scheduled to formally consider Geringer's appointment at it's April 22 meeting. If confirmed he will be sworn in on April 23, according to Kaysen.
