Jury Seated for Sawicki Murder Trial, Opening Arguments Wednesday

A jury of eight women and six men were selected shortly after 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) in the Sabrina Sawicki murder case.

The Cheyenne mother is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of her 16-month-old son.

An autopsy determined the boy died from "abusive head trauma" consistent with "shaken baby syndrome."

Opening arguments will begin tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9 a.m. The trial is expected to last about two weeks.
