Junior High School Rodeo Competitor Killed in Accident

So sad to pass along this news. A young man was killed in a horse roping accident while preparing for competition.

The National High School Rodeo Association shared this news on their Facebook page today about the passing of Brander Smith.

According to reports, Brander Smith was practicing for the National Junior High Finals Rodeo set to begin June 23 in Huron, South Dakota. The Southern Junior Rodeo Association confirmed this news on their Facebook page also. There is no confirmation as to where this accident happened. One website indicates that Brander was from Rose Bud, Arkansas.
