One of Wyoming's best musicians is coming back to Cheyenne this weekend. Jalan Crossland is headlining the Music on the Mount Father's Day Concert Sunday at Mount Sinai Synagogue.

The pride of Ten Sleep will share the stage with another Cowboy State native, Laramie's Shelby Means, who will open the show with her folk duo Sally and George. Prior to forming Sally and George with her husband Joel Timmons, Means was a member of the Grammy-nominated bluegrass group Della Mae. Means and Timmons met at a music festival, fell in love, and formed their own band, named for her grandparents.

In 2017, Sally and George released their debut album "Tip My Heart", which was nominated an Independent Music Award. The couple married in 2018 at Curt Gowdy State Park.

Crossland is widely considered among the best banjo players in the West. The former National Fingerstyle Guitar Champion has released seven albums during his career and was recognized with the Wyoming Governor’s Arts Award in 2013.

The concert begins at 4:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are $25 and are available online via Eventbrite.
