FAKE: Ukrainian President Buys Pathfinder Ranch for $79 Million?

The story claims that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has purchased the sprawling 916,076-acre Pathfinder Ranch in central Wyoming for $79 million.

Let's cut to the chase here - NO HE DID NOT!

Pathfinder Ranches, which went on the market in August 2025 for $79.5 million, consists of four separate properties spanning four Wyoming counties, covering more than 1% of the state. The ranch is larger than Rhode Island and over four times the size of New York City. Swan Land Company, which handles the listing, continues to advertise the property for sale.

Back in early August of 2025, it was announced that Wyoming's largest and probably most famous ranch was for sale.

If you head west of Casper on Highway 220, past the Alcova Reservoir, you'll find the much larger Pathfinder Reservoir.

From there, as you continue driving west, everything you see for many miles on either side of the highway is the Pathfinder Ranch.

It is enormous, and it's not all in one place. The ranch is 12 separate ranches woven into 4 distinct units.

Patherfind Ranch spans just under one million acres. You'll be driving by it all the way to Independence Rock and beyond.

Pathfinder is 916,000 acres, which is bigger than the entire state of Rhode Island!

Stretching from the Devil’s Gate gorge to the Pedro and Ferris Mountain ranges, Pathfinder Ranches spreads across four Wyoming counties.

You can’t see from one end to the other, and driving the entire length of the ranch takes about an hour and a half.

Imagine having to cut that lawn.

As a working ranch, Pathfinder is currently leased out in four separate operating units. Along with the thousands of cows, the property is home to 180 bulls, 7,500 yearlings, and 130 saddle horses.

Natural wildlife that abounds, including sage-grouse, mule deer, elk, bald eagles, migratory birds, and other species.

The property includes the Great Pathfinder Lodge, multiple historic ranches, and notable natural features, including areas along the North Platte and Sweetwater Rivers, and it is also known for establishing the world's largest habitat conservation bank for the greater sage-grouse.

The name "Pathfinder" is a tribute to explorer John C. Frémont, nicknamed "The Pathfinder," who explored the area.
