Cold Front Could Bring Rain, Snow To Southeast Wyoming
Cheyenne and Laramie could see rain and/or snow showers this evening and into Friday, followed by a return to warm weather for the weekend.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:
- A cold front arriving this morning will bring a break from the record warmth for today and tomorrow. The front will not make it into Carbon and Albany counties until this evening, so high fire danger will continue there today. Expect cooler temperatures with a few rain and snow showers possible overnight into Friday morning. A period of gusty southerly winds is possible Friday and Friday night. Another warmup is expected to begin Saturday and last through at least Monday. This will bring near record high temperatures once again (but not quite as warm as these last two warm spells) along with elevated to near critical fire weather conditions. A pattern change is possible around the first of April, which will bring the next chance for precipitation and a return to near average temperatures.
