Then you think about the features in Wyoming, and really, you can say the word "Yellowstone," and others automatically start shaking their head in agreement. The park is home to the tallest active geyser on earth, the Steamboat Geyser.

How about Devils Tower? Is it a tree stump? Did a giant bear try to climb up a mountain and claw its way to the top? Was it aliens? All theories, but really, who knows?

Oh, here's one for you. Wyoming is so big...(here's where you say "How big is it?")...you can fit multiple other U.S. states, or to go global on ya, countries around the world inside the state's borders.

Another factor that makes Wyoming an extremely mysterious state is its dinosaurs. The state has multiple dig sites, museums, and tours to highlight them, and is one of only a few states to have a state dinosaur. If you're wondering, it's the Triceratops.

Those are a few of the reasons Wyoming is such a mysterious state. I didn't even mention the alien encounters, bigfoot sightings, or the mountain top ancient stone circle.

If you want to know more ways Wyoming is mysterious, this video from the YouTube channel 'Across The Globe' explains 50 Wyoming facts that can't be true, oh, but they are. It's 40 minutes of Wyoming gold.
