Frank passed away Thursday, September 10th. If someone in your family played high school sports in the last 40 years, Frank likely impacted you.

I got to know Frank over the last 5 years, and in that short time, he became a great friend. If you've known Frank since he started his Wyoming sports broadcasting career in the mid-1980s, he was more like family than just a friend. If you never had the chance to spend time with him, but you heard him on the radio or watched his sports reports on television, you wanted to sit down, have a beer with him, and pick his brain about sports.

From Frank's obituary, which can be read fully at BustardCares.com:

Frank found his way to Wyoming in 1986 and started his sports broadcasting career at KFNB-TV in Casper. He joined KTWO-TV in 1987 and worked at that station for 21 years. He also was the sports anchor for KCWY-TV in Casper from 2010-2016 and had an opportunity to cover University of Wyoming athletics in all four time zones. One of Frank’s best TV memories was covering the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Beginning in 1993, Frank started doing radio at KTWO-AM, first with Bob Price on the morning show, followed by Brian Scott, Susan Burk, and Glenn Woods. Radio was a free-wheeling style that Frank really enjoyed. He remained in radio and worked with WyoPreps.com until his retirement in 2025. One of his true passions was covering high school sports across Wyoming and all the players and coaches he met along the way. Frank was named the Wyoming Sportscaster of the Year 3 times by his peers.
