UPDATE: Interstate 80 is now open in southeast Wyoming, although travel conditions in many areas are still far from ideal. No unnecessary travel is being advised between Buford and Otto Road, and the entire stretch of I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne is slick with drifted snowfall and limited visibility.

As of 4:15 a.m. Interstate 80 was closed all the way from Cheyenne to Rawlins in the wake of a winter storm that has dumped snow on much of Wyoming.

The interstate was closed from Happy Jack Road to Laramie because of a crash. The rest of the closure in both lanes was because of dangerous travel conditions. Interstate 25 was reporting slick conditions in many areas but remained open at last report.
