For the first time in 52 years, one of Wyoming's most beautiful and historic log cabins will host overnight guests. The Bridger-Teton National Forest is now accepting reservations for the Green River Lakes Lodge.

The cabin lies on the shore of the lower Green River Lake. In the early 1900s, it was part of the Gannet Peak Bar Dude Ranch. When the property was acquired by the Forest Service in 1966, it was converted into a public campground and the lodge became an office for the Pinedale Ranger District.

The cabin will open for vacation rentals on July 1st. The rustic lodge features two bedrooms, a fireplace, propane refrigerator and stove, panoramic views of Squaretop Mountain, and two bathrooms equipped with showers, flushing toilets, and drinking water during the summer months.

Beginning May 14th, reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis by phone at 307-367-5712. In the fall, reservations will move online to Recreation.Gov.
