High Wind Watch Issued, 65 MPH Winds Possible In SE Wyoming Monday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for areas of southeast Wyoming, including the summitt between Cheyenne and Laramie.
The agency posted the following on its website: ! Strong winds are expected to return Monday. High Wind Watches have been issued for Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie, as well as the Arlington/Elk Mountain area between Laramie and Rawlins. A High Wind Watch is also in effect for Interstate 80 from the Colorado state line to mile marker 4 as well as the Bordeaux area. Westerly wind gusts of 60-65 mph are looking like a pretty good bet Monday afternoon and evening in these highlighted areas. Stay tuned to later updates on these winds.
