Groups Seeking Transparency Say Wyoming Has Opened Books

Two groups which had sued a former Wyoming Auditor over what they said was a lack of transparency on state spending say they have now been given the information they were seeking.

The Equality State Taxpayers Association and openthebooks.com sued then-Auditor Cynthia Cloud in 2018 over the failure to release some spending records from a six-year period which they had requested.

But the groups now say new Auditor Kristi Racines has released the information. KGAB radio's Glenn Woods spoke with representatives from openthebooks.com on Tuesday.
