Frank Chapman: ‘I Accomplished A Lot’ But ‘No One Is Gaining Traction’

Former Wyoming Republican Congressional candidate Frank Chapman of Moran, who dropped out of the race on Thursday, doesn't sound like a man who regrets running for office.

''I accomplished a lot. I increased my name ID, my positives are way up" Chapman told Townsquare Media. "I'd really like to be able to continue to help people and maybe there is a path for that. I don't know, we'll have to see."

In terms of running for office again, Chapman says, "I'm leaving my options open."

Chapman Says No One Is Gaining Traction In The Race

But he said being one of ten candidates in the race for the GOP congressional nomination is a challenge. ''There are a lot of people to choose from, and none of those people are really gaining traction.''

Later in the interview, he added With 10 people, there's no second place, and there's not going to be a plurality, you know, there's not going to be half of the people voting for one person. This is going to be a very loose election with no mandate to govern. So whoever wins needs to be good and respond to the people and be a good partner for the Republican Party."
