Rock Springs firefighters had to extricate a woman from a vehicle involved in a recent one-car accident in Rock Springs, according to the Rock Springs Police Department.

According to a post on the agency's Facebook page, officers were called to the crash scene a little before 2 a.m. on June 17.

Police found the vehicle was blocking the street in the 1700 block of Swanson Drive. The driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Ashley Gallagher, was trapped in the driver's seat and had to be extricated by the Rock Springs Fire Department.

She was taken first to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County and was later flown to a Salt Lake City hospital, where her condition is unknown. Police say alcohol is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash.
