Wyoming Driver Dead After SUV Hits Signpost, Rolls 3 Times
A 40-year-old Wyoming man is dead after rolling his SUV near Mountain View, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at milepost 10.2 on Wyoming 410.
According to a fatality crash summary, Scott Covington was behind the wheel of an eastbound Toyota FJ Cruiser when he went off the right side of the road and hit a signpost that was warning of a curve in the road.
The Patrol says Covington attempted to correct back to the left, but the SUV tripped and rolled three times, coming to rest on its wheels.
Sadly, Covington, who was not wearing his seat belt, did not survive his injuries.

Speed, Driver Fatigue Possibly to Blame
The summary lists speed and driver fatigue/asleep as possible contributing factors.
Covington is the 58th reported person to die on Wyoming's highways this year. Of those fatalities, six have occurred this month.
