In an effort to reduce costs and provide a more secure and convenient method for the payment of unemployment insurance benefits, the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services’s Unemployment Insurance division has implemented direct deposit service for eligible recipients.

The agency developed the electronic option to save money on supplies, mailing costs and equipment.

From September 2012 through February 2013, taking into account all electronic payments including both debit card payments and direct deposits, the agency saved more than $37,000.

To elect direct deposit as a payment method, an eligible claimant must register for the service at https://doe.state.wy.us/InetClaims/. To request these changes, a client must be in current filing status and enrolled in the debit card payment service.
