Department of Education Unveils New State Report Card
The Wyoming Department of Education has unveiled a new website for parents, educators, and others to access the State Report Card information about Wyoming schools.
The State Report Card is a requirement of the federally mandated Every Student Succeeds Act and the department has created a user-friendly website for the public to access.
The department says visitors can view information from the 2017-18 school year at the state, district, and individual school level. Sections include school performance, assessments, enrollment, graduation, teachers profiles, and more.
“Transparency and public engagement are two of the main tenets of the Every Student Succeeds Act,” said State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow in a release Monday. “Our state report card gives everyone the ability to easily find information on their school and see how it compares to other schools in their district and across the state.”
The State Report Card is an annual requirement of the Every Student Succeeds Act, signed by President Obama in 2015, and the information is updated each year.
