Defy The Hate is a non-profit photographic activism group. We are dedicated to encourage people to stand up to bullies and to stand up for others who can’t make a stand themselves. We are here to show that no one should be bullied or hurt because of race, religion, sexuality, age, or gender.
Vision:
It will get better, but only if we make it get better. We are meant ...to love and be loved. We are our brother’s keeper. In these days, precious lives are being thrown away to suicide because of who they are, because they are different, because they don’t fit into the “social norm.” We all know life is hard even at its best times, but when you are being attacked due to being who you are, then this is no acceptable. You may be different, it doesn’t matter. We all are. We are here for you. If you need help, we will be there. We will make a stand when you can’t get up. We will speak when your voice is muffled or gone. You are not alone.
Our vision is this:
That community, hope, and love will replace hate. Fists will open to lend a helping hand. Words that hurt like a stone will become words of healing. There is always hope. There is always love. You are not alone.
