Cheyenne Regional Medical Center will host "Wake Up To Women's Heart Health" next month, according to CRMC spokeswoman Kathy Baker.

Sonja Hanson of Cheyenne Cardiology says the event is designed to raise awareness of heart health among women. Hanson says heart disease is the number one killer of women (as well as men) in the U.S. Awareness includes knowledge of the symptoms of heart disease as well as risk factors. The event is also designed to increase women's mental, emotional and spiritual health as well as physical health.

Dee Dee Raap, a former Cheyenne resident who now lives in South Dakota, will be the key note speaker. "Wake Up To Women's Heart Health" is scheduled for February 8 at Little America.
