Kiosks Called "Significant Leap" In Life-Saving Care

According to a CRMC news release ''We are thrilled to introduce the Emergency Department Blood Kiosk, which represents a significant leap forward in our ability to provide rapid, life-saving care," said Jennifer Dykshorn, Manager of the Trauma Program at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. "This technology underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care when every second counts."

The release says until now, emeergency blood transfusions could take uo to nine minutes. The new kiosks will reduce that time to as little as 30 seconds, a change that could matter in life-or-death situations.

CRMC is the first hospital in Wyoming with the new technology, according to the release. It was made possible by a grant from the CRMC Foundation.
