A 27-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly shoplifting more than $1,000 in merchandise.

Warrant for Felony Theft

According to a booking sheet, on Friday, May 9, Leigha Ashley-Vel Stewart was transported to the Laramie County Detention Center on a warrant for one count of felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Sean C. Chambers signed the warrant on Aug. 13, 2024.

Bond Set at $3K Cash

On Monday, May 12, Stewart was seen in Circuit Court on the charge.

Her bond was set at $3,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, May 19, at 11 a.m.
