
Cheyenne Man Jailed on Felony Warrant; Then Caught With Fentanyl
A 36-year-old Cheyenne man is facing felony charges after reportedly being caught with fentanyl after being booked into jail on an unrelated warrant.
According to booking sheets, Manuel Cruz Munoz was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, after a sergeant with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office spotted him walking in the Maverik parking lot at 1706 S. Greeley Hwy.

Felony Warrant
The sergeant says Munoz had an active warrant out of Laramie County for burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both, and misdemeanor theft.
Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on March 13, 2025.
Munoz was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without issue, where he was booked on his warrant.
Caught With Fentanyl
The following day, inmate Munoz was found to have five suspected fentanyl pills.
Munoz was subsequently charged with taking a controlled substance into jail, a felony punishable by up to three years in prison, up to a $3,000 fine, or both.
On Monday, March 24, Munoz was seen in Circuit Court on the charges.
Bond Set at $7.5K Cash
His total bond was set at $7,500 cash and his preliminary hearings were scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, at 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
