Habitual Cheyenne Thief Slapped With Felony Charge
A 42-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly, once again, committing theft.
According to a booking sheet, Shana C. Beck was transported from the Albany County Detention Center to the Laramie County Detention Center on Aug. 1, 2024, on a Laramie County warrant.
Five Strikes Rule
The warrant was for theft - fifth or subsequent offense, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Circuit Court Magistrate Christopher Humphrey signed the warrant on July 10, 2024.
Beck was seen on her warrant on Aug. 2, 2024, during which her bond was set at $3,000 cash at 10% and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 12, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
