A 40-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly committing burglary.

According to arrest records, the Weld County Sheriff's Office arrested Kelly Jason Burroughs at 10:19 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.

At 8:50 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, Burroughs was transferred from the Weld County Jail to the Laramie County Detention Center on a Wyoming warrant.

The warrant was for burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on July 9, 2024.

Bond Set at $3K Cash

Burroughs was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court on Friday, Sept. 27, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m.
