Footprints in the Snow Lead to Wanted Cheyenne Transient’s Arrest
Another fugitive on the Laramie County Sheriff's Office's "Most Wanted" list has been captured.
According to a booking sheet, 32-year-old Cheyenne transient Justina Marie Lopez was picked up around 9 p.m. last Friday, Feb. 16, after a deputy responding to a report of a female stumbling along the road followed footprints in the snow and found Lopez, who they knew to have Laramie County warrants, in the carport at 6034 Highland Rd.
Lopez had a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of misdemeanor theft signed by Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee.
She also had a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of possession of heroin signed by District Court Judge Thomas Campbell.
Laramie County Deputies Still Looking for 7 Fugitives
Deputies are still looking for Gilbert Martinez and Gina Scott, who have been on the list since it was released on Sept. 29, 2023; Akmir Brown, who was added to the list on Nov. 9; Charles Swank, who was added to the list on Dec. 11; Antonio Oros-Garfia who was added to the list on Jan. 19; and Leo Montoya and John Pino, who were added to the list on Feb. 12.
