
Burns Man Accused of Beating Up His Longtime Girlfriend
A 63-year-old Burns man is facing felony charges after allegedly strangling and assaulting his longtime girlfriend.
According to booking sheets, Edwin Lawrence "Larry" Husfelt was arrested around 7:16 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, after his girlfriend of 22 years called to report he had beat her up.

The arresting Laramie County Sheriff's deputy says after investigation, probable cause was found to arrest Husfelt for domestic battery, a misdemeanor, and strangulation of a household member, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Husfelt was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked without incident.
Bond Set at $5K Cash
On Tuesday, May 13, Husfelt was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charges as well as a charge of aggravated assault and battery - serious bodily injury, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Husfelt's bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, at 1:30 p.m.
