Don't look for an announcement for Gatorade Wyoming Player of the Year honors anytime soon, as the company has decided to hold off due to the pandemic.

The Gatorade Company posted the following on its website recently regarding the 'Player of the Year' awards.

"With many fall and winter sports seasons postponed or in flux due to the ongoing situation with the Coronavirus pandemic, all 2020-21 Player of the Year announcements have been pushed back to the spring and summer of 2021. We'll be closely monitoring and assessing additional shifts in sport season calendars, and may update announcement timing accordingly."

Typically, early December brings about the 'Gatorade Wyoming Football Player of the Year.' Then in January, volleyball and girls cross country are announced, followed by boys cross country in February.

Instead, the earliest announcement is planned for April 2021, as of now, and will continue through early July 2021.
