The Cheyenne City Council Monday night unanimously approved the appointment of John Hall as city engineer.

Hall has been working with the city as a consultant so he's familiar with how the department operates, but he says seeing it from the outside and seeing it from the inside are two different things.

"I've been involved as a consultant with the 19th Street Project that's ongoing and I'll be getting involved with the other projects as well," said Hall.  "It's probably my highest priority to make sure we do a good job, we get the taxpayers what they are paying for and be a good steward of the resources they entrust to us."

Hall is a graduate of East High School and the University of Wyoming.  He has about 15 years of civil engineering experience.
