
College National Finals Rodeo Cruising Through 3rd Go-Round
The College National Finals Rodeo resumed in Casper on Wednesday night as the 3rd Go-Round moves along. In the saddle bronc. Malcolm Heathershaw of Casper College had 74 in Wednesday's performance and is 3rd in the average of the event. His teammate, James Perrin is 1st in the average with 240 on 3. Over in the bareback, Cooper Filipek of Gillette College put a 76.5 on the board to put him 1st in the aggregate with 241.5 on 3.
Jacob Wang of the University of Wyoming continues to lead the average of the steer wrestling event and Newcastle native Jake Devereaux who competes for Montana Western had a 12.4 in the tie down roping and us 8th in the average. LCCC's Cory Bomhoff of 10th in the average in that event.
On the ladies' side, Josie Mousel of the University of Wyoming turned in a quick time of 5.7 to put her 2nd in the average. Her teammate, Landry Haugen is 5th with a 6.6 in the 3rd go and 5th in the aggregate with Haiden Thompson of Yoder, who competes for Gillette College, is 7th in the average with a 6.0 on Wednesday night.
The CNFR has three more sessions, with the short-go on Saturday night at the Ford Center in Casper. We have some pics to pass along from the Wednesday perf, and you can find them in our gallery below.
